The Kid holds the silence for exactly three seconds. Counting — you can almost see it.
Then she makes a decision.
"Okay." Flat. No heat in it. She pulls her jacket tighter and glances once more at the far end of the walkway. "Your call."
She steps around the enforcer's body without looking at it, moving toward the gap between the container stacks — the one she'd been eyeing since the fight ended. Quick, quiet footsteps on the grating. She knows exactly where she's going.
At the edge of the shadow she stops. Doesn't turn all the way around. Just enough that you catch her profile against the pink bleed of the holo-sign.
"You hit a Hollowbone man in Hollowbone territory to pull him off a kid you don't know." A beat. "That's either principle or boredom. Either way—"
She glances back at the enforcer.
"—they're gonna want a conversation with you about it whether you help me or not."
She lets that land.
Then she steps into the dark between the containers and she's gone — just the soft sound of footsteps on wet grating, fading fast. The Cracked Data-Chip goes with her.
The walkway is quiet now. Just you, a body, and the cycling neon.
